Homebrew Could someone provide me with a full walk through on Homebrew?

I am new to the homebrew and hacking in general of games, but I think it looks fun, and I'd like to try. I have no idea where to start, but I've done a little bit of research. Can anyone give me any kind of direction?

Lets start with firmware, are you on latest (10.7) or earlier (10.5ish)?

If you want to use Oot hax you need either a already hacked 3ds or a action replay powersaves unfortunately.

You will need Either Cubic Ninja, Sky3DS, another hacked 3DS, Ocarina of Time 3D+Powersaves, or Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon+Powersaves.
