Hey there, just purchased a Zelda Wii U at an insane discount!
I was wondering if it is possible to copy Wii saves to a Wii U using an SD Card WITHOUT USING SYSTEM TRANSFER.
I don't want to transfer everything off my Wii, mostly because it is hacked and I want to keep my vWii clean of hacks.
Is it possible to copy just the save data on the Wii to an SD card and then pop that into the Wii U?
Also, I know Wifi-connection game saves cannot be copied.
Is there any homebrew for my hacked Wii that I can use to force them to copy to an SD card? And if there is, can I copy the saves back onto the Wii U without hacking it?
    Thanks in advance!

You are asking to use homebrew on your vWii without using homebrew on your vWii.

Just delete any exploit saves from your Wii and transfer it over. Only official stuff will be copied.

But my wii is hacked with a LOT of stuff. It even has darkcorp on it.
I really dont want to risk anything at all.
What about the saves that are not wifi games? Can those be copied?

It just transfers saves and your shop account. If you have any out-of-region saves, you should get rid of those too. You can restore them on your Wii after the transfer is over.

I explained what the transfer includes a couple days ago here.

Why not just transfer everything from the Wii to an SD card, and then restore the saves FROM the SD to the vWii?

Because then you'd have to run every game you want to play (on the vWii) before you could transfer them.

That's what I was asking in the first place... I just wanted to know if this works.
From what I've googled it does, so long as you create save data for each game on the WiiU first.
The only thing I still dont know is if I can do that with Wifi saves...
Does anyone know if savegame manager copies save data to the SD card in the same way the wii menu does? or does it have its own file system?
Because if it does it the same way as the wii, then the WiiU should have no trouble reading the saves afterwards, so long as I play the games at least once first...

No, it's completely different. Just use the official method.
