Hacking Convert Brawl Names from NTSC to PAL

Hi, a few months ago I imported an NTSC copy of Smash Bros. Brawl and a Freeloader and I've been using the NTSC version ever since. I'm having a little problem though... for those who don't know, there is a feature in Brawl that allows you to transfer your profile to a Wiimote and from the Wiimote to someone elses Brawl data on their Wii. However, it seems that I can't transfer my NTSC profile to a PAL Brawl save which is very frustrating seeing as everyone I know has the PAL version.
I know this is a very small and insignificant thing but is there any way to convert or transfer an NTSC profile to a PAL save? Is it at all possible?

And I'm not going to buy a PAL copy of Brawl.

Theoretically it is though, if you opened up a PAL save in a hex editor as well as a NTSC save and compared the differences....no never mind....
