Misc Connecting DS Lite to WPA protected network

Hi, I know its not possible but that is the problem I am facing.

My question is : is there a way (a software like connectify or virtualrouter) that can turn your laptop into a wi fi hotspot using WEP or no connection at all ? Connectify and virtualrouter both use WPA or WPA2 and won't let me share internet with other security types

If there is any other way please let me know

I used to be able to do it with the ad-hoc network Windows Vista lets you create, but 7's ad-hoc network can't be detected by my DS Lite. I think it's with the way 7 automatically makes your network WPA or something. Correct me if I'm wrong, it's just fleeting knowledge and I gave up soon after trying.
