which version of DM works on CFG 70v49? 2.4-2.5 seem to hang to black screen all the time.. Haven't been able to load GC in this backup loader at all. Every other loader works fine,

I have spent over an hours looking 15+ pages back, over the wiki, doing google seraches and can't find an answer to this!

hi,

Can anyone confirm if they have devolution working on this and what I may be doing wrong?

Sorry if it has been answered, I went through quite a few pages and didn't see anyone having the 11 blue light flashes then reboot issues I was having
I have 2 out of my 4 GC games working on CFG (through Devo), although all working with USB Loader GX.

I had previously asked what settings to use to improve compatability, but got no responce :-(

Thanks, I seem to have no luck at all. I've been using it with wiiflow with no problems at all, but have always used it for most things and like it.

@toss1 and @Overseer

i also have the same problem with devolution r168.

right now, i found out that if you find the r160 source zip, you can take out the loader.bin file and put that in the 'usb-loader' folder. it'll put it back to r160 and boot properly.

My Devolution Gamecube games don't show up in Configurable USB Loader, despite the fact that they show up and play fine in Wiiflow...

Is there something I need to do to tell Configurable USB Loader to look for GC ISOs in the usb:/games/ folder?

Thanks :)

The only Devo option I can find is "Force Devo" which is set to "Yes". Is there another option I need to adjust?

Here is my settings.cfg:

# CFG USB Loader settings file 70r49
# Note: This file is automatically generated

# Global Settings:
theme = GreyMatter
device = usb
partition = FAT1
gui_style = coverflow3d
gui_rows = 2
devo = 1

# Profiles: 1
[profile=default]
# Favorite Games: 0
# Current profile: 1
profile = default

# Hidden Games: 1
hide_game = __CF

# Game Options: 1
game:GZLE01 = language:console; video:system; video_patch:0; nand_emu:off; vidtv:0; wide_screen:0; ntsc_j_patch:0; nodisc:0; country_patch:0; fix_002:1; ios:Auto; block_ios_reload:auto; alt_dol:0; ocarina:0; hooktype:vbi; write_playlog:0; clear_patches:0;
# END

Finally plug-in support is nearly finished:

HOW DO I PLUGINS?!
please, ive been using wiiflow recently because of wiiware/nand emulation, but i PREFER CFG BECAUSE:
i can see all my wii/ww/gc games AT ONCE!
how can i use the mighty dol and the newest revision on the google code page? plaease?

The Games have to be placed like: usb:/games/whateveryouwant/game.iso

Cool, my games show up now! However, none of them start properly in CUL, even though they launch fine in Wiiflow. When I try to launch from CUL, the screen turns black and my Wii's blue light blinks 11 times, then it returns to the Homebrew Channel. I'm so close! How do I get them to launch? I've been testing with Melee and Wind Waker if it matters.

So the folders on a FAT32 HDD regarding gamecube games looks like this:

games > NAME OF GAME [000] > sys

So how are the folders formatted for 2 disc games?

Same problem as me, apparently something broke between config loader and r168 of devolution
right now, i found out that if you find the r160 source zip, you can take out the loader.bin file and put that in the 'usb-loader' folder. it'll put it back to r160 and boot properly.

Damn, do either of you know where I can find the r160 source zip? Searched and searched but can't find it...

games > NAME OF GAME [000] > sys

From what I understand, you place your ISO like this: usb:/games/GAMENAME/game.iso
where GAMENAME is anything you want. But your iso MUST be called "game.iso"

I dunno how it handles 2 disc games though...

Yesterday I made an interesting discover.
Sorry to double post,but I just quote myself from the Wiiflow topic as I feel this is relevant to other loaders as well :
I just wanted to say that in the past couple of years I never bothered to install WiiFlow on my system
I was actually satisfied with CFG and later with USB GX that I never felt the urge to try yet another Loader.
However.....I tried it yesterday out of curiosity and I'm so glad I did !
Really, functionality wise I don't see any huge difference from the other Loaders, however I had a big problem with my Toshiba Canvio 500GB USB 2.0/3.0, namely I had to unplug it every time I started the other loaders or between games, otherwise my Wii would freeze or keep looking for the HDD.

I'm happy to report, that with WiiFlow there is no such a problem
It seems that the games take a few seconds more to boot ( and it's alittle bit of a hit and miss ) , but the Wii doesn't freeze upon initializing the HDD anymore !
That's a huge plus in my book, and reason enough to switch over from anything else.
Maybe there is a different call in the way the HDD initializing is handled, after all, Wii Explorer always finds my HDD as well.

Oh, let me add that I'm using d2x-v9-beta(r49), with v8 final Wiiflow would boot but freeze before loading a game.

Maybe somebody should edit the Wiki page regarding HDD compatibility and add this info, I'm sure there are quite a few people with the same problem out there.

Hope it helps.
Cheers

So my question is: Why do WiiFlow and Wii Exloprer find my HDD and other USB loaders do not ?
