How can I change base 56 for base 57. My RB3 is lagging and I want to see if this would help. I have bootmii as boot2 not as an ios so I am pretty safe that way

thanks

Use the guide for the cIOS249[56]-v21[EHCI-v19].wad mentioned above. With base 57 GH3 won't work.

* Minor cleanups

19-01-2011 cfg v65a (alpha)
* Updated libfat to svn-4520 which includes FSINFO (by Dimok)
FAT fsinfo stores the free space info to a designated sector
speeding up the time it takes to print the free space.
Previously the entire FAT table had to be scanned to get the
free space which could take up to a couple of minutes.
This was also the reason the option hide_hddinfo=1 is set
so that by default the free space is not displayed .
* Added a way to manually scan and sync the free space in fsinfo.
Go to global options / partition selection and press 2
Then all FAT filesystems will be shown and the free space for each
By confirming with A the free space will be scanned again. If the
scanned free space mathces fsinfo OK is displayed otherwise the
correct free space, which is then stored to fsinfo.
It is enough to do this once, after that the fsinfo should be kept
in sync. (but using some other homebrew to write/delete data from
FAT will make the info unsynced again, until all other apps are upgraded
with the new libfat as well)
* Minor change to usbstorage mem allocation (back to v63)
(in case it fixes problems with v64 that were not in v63)

i have the same question but never get here an answer
OK so to cut a long story short here's a simple answer based on my own noob level (but keen reader!) experience:
249 on base 56 rev 21 with EHCI from v19 - Use ModMii beta to create a wad of it and install with MMM:

Thanks guys !

But I wonder why it's not better to use IOS58 as base cause of its 2.0 USB support.
Because some games wont work with it and most cios have usb2

i was thinking the same way you are back then. IOS58 has a different coding for USB 2.0 from the current cIOS. if you tried to play SSBB with IOS249 base 58, you would get the "insert SSBB disc" screen.

and personally, i use cIOSX_rev21 IOS249 with base 57, and IOS250 with base 56. for some reason, whenever i play MHTri on IOS249 (with any base), it would lag in a 4-person online quest. but with IOS250 (any base), nothing but smooth gameplay.

cIOS249[57]-v21[EHCI-v19] for most games.
cIOS250[56]-v21[EHCI-v19] for instrument games, Guitar Hero, Rock Band, WeSing, USing....
cIOS223[37-38]-v4 for some games that do not work with those above, e.g. Worms Battle Island.

All cios support USB 2.0 for a long time. Check your Syscheck report.

You can create them with ModMii, you don't even need 4.4.5b. 4.4.5 can do this.

- go to .\ModMii\modules\
- copy the EHCI.app from "W19Modules" into "W21Modules" (Backup the one inside, if you like)
- run ModMii -> page 4 -> 2492157 & 2502156
- create cIOS249[57]-v21.wad = cIOS250[57]-v21[EHCI-v19].wad
- create cIOS250[56]-v21.wad = cIOS250[56]-v21[EHCI-v19].wad

That is not officially supported (yet), so it works this way only for now.

ModMii will report both files as "bad files" since it doesn't now their hashes.

Following the ModMii beta post found a new patch from davebaol http://gbatemp.net/t263019-waninkoko-s-cio...ase?&st=119 It works great!
I tested Wario Land: Shake It! (base 56-57): no lag - Worms: Battle Islands (base 56 in slots 249/250): works
Davebaeol tested Shaun White Skateboarding: works - Yuan tested Super Smash Bros. Brawl pause loop: no lag
To anyone that can test with other problematic games (specially the ones with usb instruments) please report!
To test it by yourself follow the instructions by TheRealVisitor quoted above, but use the downloaded .app file (rename it first to EHCI.app) instead of the one from the W19Modules folder.
EDIT2: Cleaned up the post and deleted the hashes, will post the final ones when its ready

Oh yeah, I should have thought about that, asking about two supported USB ports makes more sence.

Help please i'm chasing my tail here.
i used modmii to softmod my sisters wii, it's an LU50 on 4.3U. kept it on 4.3U installed only the basics followed the guide to a T. CFG didn't recognize the Fat32 HDD, WTF i stick the same HDD into my 4.2U and it plays like a dream. so i do some reading tweaked the cios and had limited success. so then i ran syscheck on both my sisters wii and my own.
i saw some differences, ok so they're not the same system menu. thing is though my wii has trucha on all but a couple of ios (58&61) and only 4 stubs (4,10,16&51).
now i tried ciosx r19,r20&r21 seperatly and this last idea up here 21+19, all ways end the same HBC and all emulators and Wiimc all play off the WD HDD. CFG will not and i don't want to try a different loader, i'm a huge fan of CFG.

anyway cfg loads it shows the CFG screen but never loads the HDD.
