I'm currently using the latest version of Configurable USB Launcher on my softmodded PAL Wii and the following games won't work properly or at all:

Kirby's Epic Yarn [NTSC] - I get the message "wbfs panic: malloc fst" when trying to launch it from the menu
Samurai Warriors 3 [PAL] - I get a black screen after trying to start a new game from the save slot screen
Rune Factory Frontier [PAL] - Black screen with no game launched at all

So it appears that the same problems that are preventing .mod sound files to play in some versions, may also be causing or related to the problems with Call of Duty Black Ops.

I've tested the standard 249 versions of: cfg60, cfg61a, cfg61a2, cfg61a3, cfg61b, cfg61b2, cfg61t1, and cfg61t2.

As with the .mod sound file issue, only cfg60 and cfg61t1 are working properly for this situation.

With cfg60 and cfg61t1, I'm able to play all modes (singleplayer, mutiplayer, zombie) fine with the following configuations:

CFG = cIOSx 249 v20 base 57 | Game = cIOSx 249 v20 base 57
CFG = cIOSx 249 v20 base 56 | Game = cIOSx 250 v20 base 57
CFG = cIOSx 249 v20 base 56 | Game = Hermes cIOS 224 v5.1 base 57
CFG = cIOSx 249 v20 base 56 | Game = Hermes cIOS 223 v5.1 base 57

Using anything other than cfg60 or cfg61t1 and the above combinations, singleplayer works, but the other two modes don't load.

Hopefully this will be helpful to the devs and to others having trouble with the game.

* I did not test with CFG-222 versions, versions under v60, or other versions of Waninkoko or Hermes installers besides what's listed above.
Thanks dude ;D tried cfg61t1 and worked perfectly :]

I can confirm I can play all modes flawlessly using the bolded configurations.

Is it possible so switch on "write playlog" as default for all new games you put on your disc? I always forget to switch it on on new games and the playlog then just says "CFG USB LOADER" for xx:xx minutes.

Hey guys, I got a question.
When I run cfg 61t2 I get into flow mode.
I want to set it to coverflow 3d, everytime it starts up. I used cfg configurator and changed settings to coverflow 3d, but it still starts into another flow mode.
Anyone knows how to get it to work?

Thanks.

EDIT: Problem solved.

Yes. You can set the default value of any of the per-game options in config.txt. Edit the file or use the Configurator to add "write_playlog=1" to config.txt.

If anyone else was wondering what the problem was here, settings.cfg, which stores the global options has a higher priority over a select few options (theme, profile, device, partition, gui_style and gui_rows) than config.txt. Thus, the solution is to change the options in settings.cfg. This can either be done with the Configurator or by saving the Global Options in Cfg by pushing 1 twice and then pushing 2.

To oggzee, i finally got the time to test out the 61t versions. realised that the new forwarders will only activate the debug=1 in meta.xml.

the log at the splash screen for 61t1 is as follows:

reload ios: 249 v61t1

nd id: 1000000F9 1-F9 t: 1 v: 19 249[FRAG]t

at which it hangs.
As for 61t2, the log is as follows:

Hope this helps in your debugging. maybe i need to upgrade to waninkoko CIOS 20b? with the normal v60, there is a lot of logs but it works fine so i did not bother to list it out. besides, they scroll too fast.

COD:BO

First I tried 61t2 but multiplayer loads into a black screen even with the switch profile trick. Second I tried 61t1 and it worked.
Is it because it was luck?

It's not luck, looks like using the new devkit 22 and libogc 1.8.5 (which was used to build 61t2) somehow screws COD:BO.
So for the moment stick with 61t1 or 60.

Thanks a lot for the detailed debug log. I'm sorry you had to type out all the numbers, it would probably be easier for you if you just made a snapshot of the screen and uploaded a picture.
It tells a lot about what is not a problem, but I'm still not sure what is the exact problem, so to pin-point that I will ask you to do some more test, but first I'll need to make another test version with more debug.

If it doesn't work for you with 60 it probably won't with 61t1 either, I guess you need to find the right ios setting first.

:S I tried a lot 222, 224, 249, 250 all base 57 ect all not working

Hopefully this will be helpful to the devs and to others having trouble with the game.

Thanks. I kept using cIOSx 249 v20 base 56. Switching to 250 v20 base 57 solved everything.
