I have tried to use Wiird and the USBGecko to connect to running games and search the memory.
But somehow I do not get a working connection to the game.
Has anyone managed to use USBGecko and Wiird together with a game launched by USBLoader CFG ??
Can anyone tell me how to do it ?
When I launch a game with Gecko OS from disk, I can connect without problems, but when I launch a game from FAT HD with USBLoader CFG then it does not work.

QUOTE(jono@home @ May 20 2010, 09:21 PM) i know this noob post but im new to configurable usb loader. GX lover *coughs* and I know its a known issue are their any plans to fix the black bar problem on the Pal 576i displays.. ???
Hopefully one day.

In the meantime, try this workaround:

Go to your Wii Settings and set Screen...TV Type to 480i. This is much better to use, as long as your TV supports it, and almost every PAL TV supports it. Many games actually work better in 480i as they are designed to be played at that refresh rate by the primary audience (Japan + US).

Yeh my telly does support it being a samsung LCD in all.. but it looks so gash in that display, everything appears slightly blurry! It not the leads either tried all sort of different types.. must just be the TV..

Look forward to the fix

Why don't check the disc id for PoP(i guess they all have the first 3 characters in common) and disable the disc in drive patch for these? In my eyes that's something that should be done and doesn't harm anything. Having the option to also disable it for other games is nice, but seems to be not required.

Try OSSleepThread hook and debugger set to paused start. You may also want to test if it works in NeoGamma, if it doesn't work there as well, something isn't right.

cfg v57b4 (beta4)
cfg57b4.dol
cfg57b4-222.dol
(or online update)
Changes:

cfg v57b4 (beta4)
Patch for Prince of Persia
new option: disable_pop_patch = [0], 1
new option: disable_dvd_patch = [0], 1

You have to set disable_dvd_patch if you want to run PoP with a Hermes IOS.

Also, ensure you remove ALL PoP .wip files from the base directory if you tried any.

Thank you.

PAL ISO (unmoddified) runs on CFG USBLoader 5.7b4 cIOS 249rev14.

Yeah, WiiPower, I considered that, and will probably add it to the next version. I'm not going to release a new version for that alone, though.

Dr.Clipper, I tried rev57b4.dol and the PAL game does not even start.Black screen before the Wiimote logo.I used the patched main.dol...Is this version of Cfg only functional with the original iso in order to work?

Try the unmoddified game iso. Runs here.

Was the patched .dol working before? If so, disable the pop patch. If not, then you very likely didn't patch it correctly and should revert it back.

hey Dr.Clipper... first thx for adding the patch and second a noob question lol
new option: disable_pop_patch = [0], 1
new option: disable_dvd_patch = [0], 1

do i need to use those options when i dont play PoP?

The new 57b4 makes POP work like a charm on 249rev19. Thanks for the upgrade.

Same here. CIOS rev 19 IOS 57 as base. CFG 57b4.

Thanks for your continued work, without it, we'd all be up shit creek without a paddle.

Any ideas for PoP?
NTSC Wii 4.1 firmare
249 rev 19 with 57 base
Config 57 b4
ntfs drive
booting with 249 and trying to load game with 249
PoP ripped down to wbfs file on ntfs drive.
PoP starts to load, goes through the first 4 black screens with writing and goes black.
Tried country patch, force ntsc, video patch, anti 002 and nothing changed.
No .wip files, clean image (no altering of main.dol)
What am i missing? the PoP patch is loaded automatically right?

I second that.
I have a PAL Wii w/ 4.2E, cios[57]249 r19, cfg-loader 57b4
After the Copyright-Screen PoP freezes with a black screen

Haven't tested this, but people are reporting that it works with cIOS rev9.

noob question but where do i find those options. i've checked all over cfg's menus and my sd card.

its already been explained the CFG's wip patching it broken and has been for months, probably hasnt been mentioned because wip isnt really needed for all games, only a select few

I tried disabling the PoP patch in config and using the .wip file and i got the same results. black screen after the copy write window. It would seem like that if it's working on others it has to be an ios problem. Maybe some of my ios's are outdated?

QUOTE(Dr. Clipper @ May 20 2010, 02:17 PM) OK, with the help of WiiPower, I have discovered why the wip patching wasn't working properly in Cfg (I was trusting that oggzee left the wip patch in working order, but it turns out it's been broken for months). The first wip patch (reposted a few posts above this one) is indeed the correct one.

The wip code will be fixed by the release version of Cfg v57, but it needs some testing first. The PoP patch will stay regardless, though.

How did you disable the patch in config? Through your SD card?

Also, one thing I believe has been confirmed is you don't need any .wip files anymore. The updated .cfg file is all thats needed as the lines of code to patch are already there.
