Thanks for the quick reply. Just figured that out. I couldn't select IOS249 only the Hermes once. Any loader that supports this yet?

I guess it's back to a WBFS partition for the time being.

What's the problem with cios222?
Why don't you install that?

Nothing I guess, but I want my WII as "clean" as possible.
Then delete 249 and install 222

So, you already have cios 249, 250, HBC channel, and probably more stuff...
and you don't want to install cios 222 so that your wii stays clean?

Other question: Is it possible to show the main menu at startup by default, so I can select "run disc"? Or even better....when a disc is inserted autostart it? Could not find such an option in the configurator. There are no options to set for disc based playing, correct? (would be nice to have such a feature for disc based playing aswell, jdust like in NeoGamma)

Your console's already tainted man. Besides, the more custom IOS's you've got floating around, the better compatibility you gain. And you get a better chance of at least one of them surviving an update. >_>

You can't change the startup menu, but you can assign the boot_disc action to any of the buttons, which is probably just as good. E.g., add "button_+ = boot_disc" to config.txt and then the + button will take you straight to the disc booting confirmation screen.

1. What is the difference between the fat version and the regular version of the loader?

2. Is Rev. 5 of 222 working with fat partitions or only Rev. 4?

Thanks

Just noticed my New HD has auto spin down feature i cant get rid of - its a 1 TB USB IOMEGA Desktop , can anyone point me to a relevant program to disable it, i thought their was one on the USB basics topic but i cant find it anymore =(

Cover downloading seems to be borked in 54. Returned to 54b3 and it worked.

Edit: Ok it worked the second time, don't know what was wrong. :/

hi !

since my update to cios waninkoko rev18, i always had the same error when modifying something on usb-loader v54 (like downloading cover or updating the loader) :
"ERROR sd:/ is not accessible"

i never had any error before

thanks

1. The fat version:
  • Loads IOS222 first instead of IOS249
  • Sets ios=222-mload by default instead of ios249
  • Sets partition=fat1 as default instead of wbfs1
  • Sets hide_hddinfo=1 as default instead of 0
  • Removes the ability for the simple option to override the value of hide_hddinfo
2. Yes, Rev 5 works.

So I'm trying to use my hard drive.. which is NTFS, now the main page says NTFS is ok but it just complains it couldn't find FAT1.
What am I doing wrong..? I have FAT working from my normal 2GB SD cards and I can load from that, but that's not really a big enough drive for some stuff.

Can't seem to use the 8GB SD card I normally use (Only wants to format in FAT32 which don't work).. can't seem to use my hard drive, might just go back to WBFS formatted drive like I had on my 8GB SD before. >_>; Least I had that working. xD

Just reporting, I used Cfg Loader v54 with cIOS38 rev18, since cIOS57 and cIOS70 rev18 did not work well. In their cases. the sd becomes innacessible (accused by the loader) and none of my themes and covers show up. Also, I didn't notice any speed improvements mentioned in the changelog of rev18.

just noticed with the current CFGv54 and maybe 54B* any titles beginning with "The" are ignored and sorted by alphabetical order of the following word

example

Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30
Call Of Duty 3
Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Reflex
Call Of Duty: World At War
Castlevania: Judgment
The Conduit
Countdown
Crash Of The Titans
CSI: Deadly Intent
De Blob
Dead Rising: Chop Til You Drop
DeadSpace: Extraction
Ghostbusters
Go Play Circus Star
Go Play City Sports
Golden Balls
Goosebumps Horrorland
Gravity
The Godfather: Blackhand Edition
Guinness World Records: The Video Game
The Grudge: Haunted House Simulator
Harry Potter: Half Blood Prince
Harvest Moon: Tree Of Tranquility
Heatseeker
Heavenly Guardian
Help Wanted
Hidden Mysteries Titanic
Hot Wheels: Beat That!
The House Of The Dead: 2 And 3 Return
The House Of The Dead: OVERKILL

Hugo: Magic In The Trollwood

can anyone confirm this or is it something im missing with CFGv54* releases

I'm pretty sure it's been like this for some time already. My "The Beatles: Rock Band" has always been at the top of the list. I also have several games with "The" in the front that are ignored.

its never been in that sort order for me since a started using CFG back in the day, "The" has always been in the T's where they belong

@ oggzee/Dr Clipper

anyway to sort this out or is it a pera thing now

EDIT

just ran the configurator and noticed the sort_game = now has A, AN and The as defaults to be ignored while sorting, strange thing is i dont have that as an active setting in my config.txt, so it must be a CFG default setting

easy fixed
