I just updated and I'm not getting the banner sound or the clock options.

Is the banner sound on the GUI screen or the console screen?

I have the clock set as clock_style=[0] and I still see a clock. I also tried clock_style=[12am] and still have the 24 Hr military time.

the banner sound plays when you selected a game you want to play not in the gui or console views and try deleting the settings.cfg from the base location then try again

Nope, they are definitely, positively not playing for me.

What pepxl said - it plays on the game loading screen. So if you have simple=1 set in your config.txt, you'll never hear them. Also, the sounds currently only work for ~95% of the games.

Or he is experiencing the same thing I am. I also injected 44b2 into a channel and ran it without a settings.cfg or config.txt, and I still get no sound on any game whatsoever. Maybe a wrong compile was uploaded?

The brackets indicate the default value. Use "clock_style=0" or my Configurator to set the value.

Could I suggest some additions to this? Could we have the option to categorize the games? By like:
  • Genre,
  • Company,
  • Publisher,
  • Date (of release? added?),
  • Times Played,
  • Last played,
  • Size
  • other ideas (that I haven't listed?
Another thing, could we have the option (unless it was stated in an above post) to go back to the homebrew channel OR the Wii-Menu when we press the house button? Could a personal (and or general) rating system work? And the choice to sort games by # of stars?
Your first suggestion is basically what WiiTDB support provides. It's on oggzee's todo list. The option for going back to HBC or menu is "home=reboot,exit". reboot goes to menu, exit goes to HBC. It only works in the loader (and oggzee can't make it work in-game, that's an IOS thing). You can use the favourites system to get a 1-star rating system with sorting...

If you have simple=1 or confirm_start=0, you won't get them. Is that it?

Nope, it doesn't play while loading either. I just tried Rock Band and nothing.

I don't have simple=1 in the config either.

Here is my config file.

No...I do not have any of those options set. I even ran it without ANY config file (injected into a channel). Basically just running the dol without any config options at all. It would absolutely work there...but it does not. Have you tested it? Are you getting the banner sound?

like Dr. Clipper said if you have

# Confirm Start
confirm_start = 0

it wont work, delete the entry

and

#clock
clock_style=[0]

should be

#clock
clock_style=0

and use the HBC dol not the injected channel......................

give me a sec and ill see whats in my config.txt

I tried all the settings. I'm only getting the sounds when I have music playing - e.g. this works for me (yes I have music there) -> music=sd:/mp3s
I don't get any sounds with music=0, music=1 or music not set at all

Yeah, I only just got around to testing it and I wasn't getting the sounds either. Sounds like setting the music to a specific path is necessary for some reason.

BTW guys, oggzee is asleep, so it will take a short while for the fix.

Edit: I can confirm that you need music already playing for the banner sound to work. I just added an mp3 to my sd:/usb-loader directory and it all works. I'm sure oggzee will fix this in his morning.

No rush on anything. I know when he sees this he'll get to it.

I set it to clock_style=12am and it works fine now, but still no banner music.
I tried it on Lego Batman this time, click A to load the game and loaded the game without a sound.

Put any .mp3 file into sd:/usb-loader if you want banner sounds.

read the last few posts then try again, you need to point to a folder or file

e.g my entry

music = sd:/usb-loader/backgroundmusic/Wii BGM.mp3

NOT

music =
music = 0

music=1 is fine as long as you have a file at sd:/usb-loader/music.mp3.

For those using the default option, any .mp3 or .mod file in sd:/usb-loader (i.e., your base directory (see global options screen)) will do.
