- ehcmodule for rev2 is updated to uloader 2.5
- ehcmodule for rev3 is from uloader 2.8DThis means that the included (embedded) ehcmodule for cios 222 rev2 has been updated from 2.1 to 2.5, which is the last version that still works on cios 222 rev2. For cios 222 rev3, the loader now includes the ehcmodule from uloader 2.8D which is the latest version at this moment.
So, you don't have to do anything.
The
external ehcmodule is just a way to override the included (embedded) ehcmodule version, with a newer or older one, in case you know it fixes some weird HDD/USB compatibility issues that you have encountered.

However, from oggzee's notes, I think invu's query is valid that the ehcmodule3.elf won't actually be needed until uLoader updates again. It seems the one from 2.8D is included in the loader itself.
Is that right, oggzee? That is correct.
QUOTE(gizmomelb @ Aug 8 2009, 05:34 PM) I've had a google and also tried searching the wiki, but as usual there's either too much (and not clear what is up todate) or not enough information available.
For the average joe, what does the ehcmodule support mean please?
faster loading (in games as well)?
better compatibility than IOS249? (and if so, which specific games please)?
The real question is what does cios 222/223 bring to you?
Usually people chose cios 222 because of HDD & USB compatibility.
But if waninkoko cios 249 works for you, then I wouldn't bother with this.
