you shouldn't have to use the alt dol method anymore if your using the most up-to-date version of d2x. anyways ill install v70 of cfg and give it a try.

Edit: Well it works fine for me with both ios reload blocking and alt dol method using CFG v70 with d2x v6

With an d2x cIOS v6+ you can just skip the ald dol method and start the game as usual, just set the IOS Reload Block to ON or AUTO

it worked with dx2 v6 in Slot 247, Base 57 without using the alt dol metod and with ios reload block set to on, at first it froze on the loading screen for MP1, but after turning the cheats off I had no problems at all

Just a note about the Cheats, Dr. Clipper has said there is no chance on doing modifications on ocarina. There is not enough memory for CFG to deal with this. Just leave the cheats alone and you will be ok.

Actually, that doesn't do it (for me at least).

However, some asked it before on the google code page and there it says to force video to NTSC and set video patch to all.

It should really be the same but for some reason Baroque won't run if i force to system default but it does work if i force to NTSC (and since I play on a computer monitor at my student dorm I can only play at 480p) even though my system is set to 480p.

Some games natively have NO 480P.

Madworld as I recall has No P support.
Also COD 3 misses it AFAIK

Moto Gp on the other hand you can force into 480P with CFG loader.

NO other loader can do that.

FYI Barogue runs fine in 480P here.

Yes the configuration is a bit stange (I have to set video mode to "force NTSC" and patch to "all" when I want a 480p output...) but i'm fine with this as long as it works

PS : FYI the game i wanted to play is "bomberman land wii". It wasn't possible since I plugged a VDIGI V2 and an old CRT monitor to may wii (in replacement of a dead tv)
 
I noticed something interesting. My hard drive is detected the first time something accesses it, but if I exit a game and try to run the loader again, the hard drive can't be found. I worked around the issue by putting the loader on a SD card. On a second attempt, Configurable USB Loader would have to retry once and then it would work. Today I updated CIOS 249 to the dx2v6 and Configurable USB Loader doesn't even report a retry anymore! Is there a channel forwarder with the same USB detection routine as the loader?

so i've recently updated to the d2x from using a really really old version of hermes cios. (in combination with upgrading to a newer version of config usb loader was using one from year ago or older)

since that is what appears to give people the best results.

i have 2 games that require bca data, and when i launch them using a d2x IOS it says you must use hermes for BCA data????

is that true? or is there any way i can use d2x for games that required BCA data?

As far as I know, no games require BCA data. I believe the only game that ever used that was NSMB Wii, and we have an alternate patch for that one which is enabled by default (but can be disabled to test the BCA data). Feel free to delete or rename the BCA files that you created.

I far as I understand (and have tested), themes are set globally. Would it be possible to have themes set by profile (so that my daughter and I can have a different one)?

Having it plugged in beforehand I get the stack dump right when cfg finishes loading and right before when the games should show up.

Plugging it in when cfg is already loaded, everything works fine until I actually move the cursor with the left analog stick. Then, stack dump. I did notice that the wiimote also still operates... so maybe it's due to conflicting input data (wiimote says left while classic controller says right?). When you use the classic controller pro in the Wii system menu the wiimote gets disabled.

As to real or not... not sure, I didn't buy it myself. It looks real. It has a 'Nintendo' in the plastic at the bottom.
slight update here: a later version (70b5 and onward I think) was fine as long as I started up without classic controller, and plugged it in afterwards.

My mate visited the other day and he brought his classic controller, and it worked perfectly. No errors whatsoever. It's a bit heavier than mine so I'll just assume mine is a fake.

So if anyone was still looking into this; consider it solved

I've asked this before but was told it wont get done.

So you can do what I did as a workaround and have more than 1 cfg dol on your SD card (I have 5 cfgs dols), you can then also have almost anything configurable per loader or share some things. Covers, cheats and things like this would in most cases be best shared. However you could have alternate themes, music, favourites and profiles etc. You can also then hide the games you dont want shown in each.

It's a dumb way of doing it, but it works 8-)
 
Couple of minor questions... I had been running an older version of cfg, and had it set up where hitting the home button once would exit, now it just brings up the exit menu. Is there a way to exit with one button? Or do you always have to use the new menu?

Second, I can't seem to get the confirm_start = 0 to work properly anymore... it still brings up the options for the game I press A on.

The new GUI adds those new screens. Setting gui=2 will bring confirm_start back to the way you like it and might also get direct exit functionality back. Of course you'll also lose the GUI features. We might look into a way of getting the quick functionality back while still using the GUI at a later stage.

I'm having problems with the USB loaders, not only CFG, and my Classic controller.
When I start the loader with the controller plugged or plug the controller on the wiimote with the loader running, it crashes. The screen goes black and a lot of text starts to appear. I have used GX and it has the same problem. Could it be an incompatibility with the classic controller?
