Configurable USB Loader

    Note that ocarina is disabled by default, you have to enable it in config.txt by setting:
    ocarina=1
    Did you do it? If yes, then I'll have to check what's the problem...

    EDIT: actually, yes there is a problem with ocarina path, will be fixed in next version.

    just doesn't seem to find config.txt wherever i put it, tried in \apps\USBloader also tried \apps\USBloader_cfg and \USBloader but it simply reloads the old style 1.1 graphics and layout.

    I have it in SD:/USBLoader/config.txt and SD:/apps/usbloader_cfg/config.txt...!!! [​IMG]

    The second version of this loader is very good... I will wait the next version with all the fix ;-)

    okay, so we make it all a case/switch or add another if cluster to handle X giving it default. remember i argued AGAINST auto forcing a video mode anyway [​IMG]

    what do i need to download in order to make this? aside from the source, obviously. any c compiler and libogc? if i did some source edits and sent to you, any chance you'd compile itu p for me in exchange for all the creditz? [​IMG]

    question retracted for time being until Knocks finishes up his latest version, his idea of making all config options a second screen was on same trac as what i was planning on editing. will wait until he does all the work instead of inventing the wheel in parallel.     you need DevKitPro, check at wiibrew.org to set and download it, and I want to make a suggestion about the cover images, why it has to take the entire RM3E01..?? why not just having the image name as RM3 and forget about the region and publisher..?? [​IMG]

    If it is a 4 bit palette it is

    Row one shows colors 0 to 7, and row 2 shows colors 8 to 15

    You mean, transparent console?
    No, with current code it's not possible.
    But, that's an interesting idea, might look into it.

    NEW: SDUSB-Loader 1.3 + cfg v3:

    Changes:
    - Rebase code to waninkoko SDUSB Loader 1.3
    - In case you don't need SDHC support - just USB, you can keep using cios r9
    standard SD mode for background and cover access still works with cios r9
    (waninkoko's requires new cios r10 with SDHC support)
    if cios r10 is installed the SDHC mode is enabled.
    - changed default base path from sd:/USBLoader to sd:/usb-loader
    so it uses the same path as waninkoko.
    (If new path is not found, it reverts to the old one)
    - fix ocarina path
    - fix loading config from HBC app dir (/app/usbloader_cfg/config.txt)
    - option: console_entries=N (number of shown games in list)

    how do i get the ocarina mode to work? i read the readme, i changed the value to 1, but i dotn see anythign when i hit 2 to activate it...

    if you cant see any reason not to install rev10, might i suggest dumping any code based on rev9 and loaders based before 1.4? the only issue i have seen with rev10 is the weird ios250 addition, did someone figure out what as for?

    checklist of things to make sure get into loader code when rewriting based on 1.4/rev10 sources:
    Sorg fix (working pal and ntsc forcing)
    language force
    HDD Timeout fix
    ocarina
    box art works with current PNGs.
    libwbfs fix for offbyone delete bug(already included, need new libwdfs and 1.4 source first?)
    all the good CFG options.

    I've already switched to 4-letter format in my loader. The last 2 digits are completely useless for cover art purposes. The 4th letter is a must because different regions have different art (with the West proudly continuing the tradition of getting shitty art since the 1980s)..
