I suppose making something that could fit in your pocket for you to carry to a friend's house and connect it to the TV.

That makes sense. I've not had any problems with the portability of the vanilla dock though.
Guess it's just a little quality of life mod.

It seems nice, but I'm sure you'll need a lot more support to avoid damaging the USB C connector. I think it would be better to make it into a big dongle.

I plan on doing that at some point, though I'll wait till dock price goes down, not paying $90 to attempt to make a dongle.

yep buy me another dock and ill 3d print a case for it.
Its pretty simple. It would be usb-c in , hdmi out, and usb-c out. make a box as small as can be. Add the led back in and there you good.

Im pretty sure they will start to pop up once more people start asking. The only problem is there is no money to be made since the price of the dock is already high and reselling with the printed care, added ports and cables would bring that price up more.
