This is what awaits my laptop, as it HAS died. Even after applying Some of the entries people have made on here. But alas, no luck, And I have let the battery die.

Is it completely bricked (no power whatsoever)? any indication of it powering on, accessing bios menu or even booting the OS?

Have you tried entering Bios during boot, by pressing "Delete" ? Then checking things...does it see your drives, ram, video card, etc

Come to think of it, he was having some issues with some keyboard button, the shift or enter i think..

Ok, can you access the bios menu when holding f1 key or whatever?
Do you see a cursor at the top left or just black?

Laptop right? Just remove the battery, power it just by the power brick it should work (not saying that's the root of the problem).

You give up too easy...I'd have that fucker apart and in pieces, before I'd give up. Sounds like a boot issue if you seen logo at start, then just black screen. A new Hd or SSD is cheaper than a new Lappy, just saying. Ofcourse could be bad bios on mobo too, can try reflash new bios, if able. Or can try set bios to defaults, save, then try. Oh well, sorry to hear.

Well, it is the end if you decided that it is. The fact that you can access the bios is a good thing. But i guess you've spent enough time trying to fix it as it is, and it's worth the headache for you anymore.. I understand.

True. Then after that, I still had the NUM pad side problems, which is where it all started. No, no more work on it.

I've been procrastinating. I got the laptop on Saturday, and I finally opened the box and removed the computer and power cable, only a few hours ago. I put devkitPro, msys, sonarr, nzbget, nzbhydra2, and Linux drives on a small hdd to transfer over. I'm going to try this at some point, hopefully nothing is lost. I really don't want to start over. BTW, my old laptop is still plugged in and on in my room. No issues as of yet.
