Hacking Completly Clueless

Ok. I have just got a wii-clip flased with Wiikey 1.9s. And I DL an ISO to test and it won't boot. I started to do some reseach and have confused my self if I DL an ISO (to test) Is there anything else I need to do to get it to boot? Also I have read that burning at 2x is a good speed and Verbatim -R are good to use. Can anyone here confirm these.

I can confirm the verbatim dvds, no problems here, but i've also used many other brands, and never had any problem. I also have a wii-clip with wiikey 1.9s. Did you upgrade the key to 1.9s yourself, if so it's probably just the iso that doesn't work, if not, maybe something went wrong...

either way I'd try another iso to test

Ok, basic questions...

1) What game did you try?
2) How did you burn the ISO? (did you just put the ISO file on the disc, or did you burn the image)
3) Can you give a lil more info?

i'm assuming that that's the key clip i sent you if so try re-updating with the 1.9s update disk (had to do one time after a power failure during an update)

So, yeah
1. If it was DL disc, I suspose that was Brawl.
2. Check your Wii's Serial Number. If it's LEH10xxx-LEX 13xxxxx then

you problably have faulty wii. Tell me: does the disc click only three times before start? If it's LEH 14xxxx and so then you're okay
3. If your wii have lover serial, click three times, then simply cleaning the laser should worked. It worked for me, and to some other guy with retail brawl (cheers for him).
4. Try with other disc, maybe ya' got a bad burn. Hovewer if your wii click three times it's not a bad burn. Even if that was a bad burn, wii will spin it. BUT it may be very poor DL disc.
5. If it won't help...yeah you have to lower potentiometer.

I think the OP is saying DL as in DownLoad not Dual Layer.

Run the wiikey config disc... it may just need region override turned on.

Are you sure your wii is DMS/D2B? are you sure the flash was done properly?

Thanks for all the help... OK.... It was not Brawl... I waited in line and got that one at midnight =)

It was Mario Kart. I burned it with Nero... Then I DL'd ImgBurn, Burnt it again and reflashed my Wii-Clip and set my region. And it works just fine. The only thing now is I DL at Japan Region Game and it won't boot? Do I used Regionfrii...or just use GeckoOS.
