Hacking Completely lost...

Well, here's the problem : A friend of mine offered me a R4i-SDHC (a black one, without "1.14" written on it), because, as it's not upgraded and as he doesn't know how to do it, there's lots of recent games he can't play, and that annoys him.

The thing is, I already have an AceKard, so I don't really care about his R4i-SDHC, and I thought about updating it for him, then giving him back. And when I tried to look for updates for this little thing... Boy, huge list is huge !

So that's where your help comes in handy. Which are the files I should install, and where are they ?

PS1 : He also have moonshell installed on his R4i-SDHC, but it doesn't work, due to his card being a Micro SD HC. Is there a thing to do about it ?

simple solution:dump the R4 card and get him an AK2i,and he will be FOREVER your best friend

grindbart, I'm not looking to buy him a new one, just to upgrade whatever he has, although it's true R4i is far from being the best available.

first things first: do you have the box or the website of the card?
there are a lot of different versions of the r4i, so it's important to know what firmware is needed.

No box, it was under a plastic, along with some Micro SD USB adaptor.

The R4 itself is black, with the mentions :

As far as I understand from that list, it isn't an R4i.
It's an r4 upgrade, made by the same people that make an r4i.
Are you sure it works on a DSi?

then it probably won't be an r4i, and it won't be upgradeable.
download the firmware there.

Mine doesn't look exactly the same. It doesn't have the "V1.4", and the NDSi isn't mentionned on the list of DS mentionned on the cartridge.

Will this firmware work, then ? Also, which game would be the best to test if the firmware is ok ?
