Hacking Compatibility list for EZ-Flash 4

I notice there is no compatibility game list for EZ-Flash 4. So I decide make a list for normal game and game hack. There are ton of games on the list. Any of you want me test the game, please shoot out the game and I will do for you as result. Also tell me which rom language you use because there are mostly 3 countries as USA, Europe, and Japan. Sometime there is other country as well. Also there are some GBA homebrew game so if you want me test, then give me name and I will test it for you too.

Here are lists of colors to tell you what result in EZF4 include NOR require.

Perfect/no NOR require.
Perfect/NOR require.
Sightly perfect/no NOR require or might NOR require.
Crash/No NOR require even NOR require.
Untest after I get request.

If you see * next to game on it, then it mean it will have warning, note to be caution, place where you can find hack, and update about game or rom itself.

One more thing press L to load the rom. Be careful when you press L to hold because some games cause camera to move when you press d-pad. It seem automatic camera hack by itself. If game have camera hack, then you have to do soft reset. IF you don't know what is soft reset do, then press A+B+Select+Start same time or press to hold until you press all of them at once.

'Lady Sia' works fine from PSRam. Either hold 'L' for a few seconds when you select the game, or use a 'Reset-On-Boot' kernel.

the actual "softreset" (game resets back to beggining)
i am using 2.01 (firewatch skin with reset patch)
it does work in both psram and NOR loading
tested now with wario land 4

I just did a few tests with 4 random games of your list. They don't work with GSS enabled but work flawlessly with GSS disabled on 2.03

Yep! Figured that out myself.

Maybe they should be added to the list to skip patching.

Megaman Zero crashes at the beginning of the game no matter what, so the problem with that one is something else.

How do you get the nes classic zelda to work? It boots but the menu's don't work with every button press and ingame I can't move...

So they do boot. And seem to work but you can't use the buttons like it only register when it occasionally wants to.

i suggest to install a 2.01 firmware with skin (so it has the L+A patch) like the firewatch one
that firmware is really good and working very well..
this new firmware in this thread adds the reset to menu function but as noticed it's current state is kinda bad and messy and breaked some stuff..
i really suggest to get back to 2.01 while this new firmwares get worked on and polished, like the ez team guy said, they will be releasing more updates to improve stuff

And what exactly does not work with your NES classic zelda? Can you please also post the checksum of your ROM?

No idea how to post the checksum.

But like I stated before using the old gba ez flash iv card. maybe that's the issue...
The reset and sleep stuff and all that doesn't work either...

ps: Beyblade g revolution crashes on boot

BREAKTHROUGH:

Tried the 2.01 version with the firewatch skin. All roms (beyblade, boktai, ...) that didn't work before now work. Except for zelda nes classic, that one boots up but acts strange ==> Read further ahead.

So It has something to do with the GSS patching that messes up the game and the old ez flash card not being able to bypass that by button combinations and just enforces it anyway.

So yeah old ez flash card users should use the old version 2.01.

Even for updating/downgrading the firmware you need an old mini sd, because it will not trigger correctly with a micro sd...
After upgrading/downgrading go back to micro SD and you are good to go.

Only strange thing that remains is the nes classic zelda acting strange. It does boot but menu's are almost non responsive except for the quick menu you open with l or r.

Having the same problem with Harvest Moon.
Additionally pressing the shoulder buttons and start crashes both DemiKids Light and Dark for me. The kernal says I don't have to patch them with EZ Client but I'll resort to that if I can't get them working.

Ah fixed Demikids! Disabled the GSS switch, that might be what's messing with Harvest Moon too. Pressed L+B to load game and now I can press start to my heart's content XD
