How do I boot to slot 2 (supercard, not gba expansion) using moonshell as firmware on my original R4?
Thanks in advance

Well, if you followed this tutorial, then you should have a bootable ysmenu (whether from holding the B button when loading an nds file, or by opening it manually) and you can just use the YSMenu to boot to slot-2 (start button brings it up on ysmenu).

Use this: http://filetrip.net/f8704-R4M3ConcepT_Tds-...-Installer.html

Initially named by eBooT_Tds the R4M3ConcepT_Tds born of a need to make the YSMenu more functional and pleasant. It was during the creation of skins that the idea occurred to me that this was the real CONCEPT R4. As I went along, the idea never left my head. So I decided to change the name to R4M3ConcepT_Tds.
_ R4M3 as it is for the R4DS and M3DSSimply, Concept because it is the true concept R4 and the symbol T_T is in honor of Yasu, creator of YSMenu, because without him it would not be possible. I do not know if it works in other ClonesR4 but I believe that everyone has them sooner or later will test...

Only need to download the moonshell2 and the ysmenu. Put 200911122312_moonshell207stable folder and YSMenu0903270000.zip in the Downloads folder. Run bat "Instalador" following options. Extracts R4M3ConcepT_Tds.zip and then update the files in folder TTMenu for the latest version.

Well, this thread is generally for just the moonshell2 + ysmenu combo, but you have a nice concept. (xD I remember when I had an idea like this for DSKiosk, but I didn't like how the channel borders looked graphically so I gave up xD).

Thank you both for the replies.
@jurassicplayer - thanks, did that now, but all I get is white screen. Due to frustration I decided to use my m3real instead and it did the job.

@amaro - I'll take a look at yours too...thanks.

I completed the install process for the standard R4, but I still get an error when trying to launch commercial NDS files in moonshell 2. That, and if I start ysmenu via another program, it has this strange bug where its own boot text sticks around and obscures the information icons, and every rom i try to load says "NO_BOOT_LOADER".

I'm using the latest ysmenu with moonshell 2.08

Well, it's passing moonshell, but the unneon plugin freezes and the other plugin throws me back into ysmenu, which gives me the NO_BOOT_LOADER error again, still with the strange glitches.

edit: Someone might want to add to the first post that you need to copy the TTMenu folder from the r4_custom_english.zip to the root, because the tutorial only says to copy ysmenu.nds.

Actually if you read before that it says extract the whole archive in r4_custom_english.zip which does include the ttmenu folder. Then it says to make a folder named ysmenu and put the ysmenu.nds file within it.

I already compiled mine along time ago for my supercard and I only replace the files that the ttmenu extract gives and the info, extinfo, and savlib dat files.

Much easier then compiling all the time.

I actually want this for my M3 Real now...

Honestly, Sakura sucks at playing a certain type of mp3 which I always use (for podcasts); moonshell 2 does it perfectly. I want to streamline my DS so that I only have to worry about getting moonshell skins and converting to moonshell video.

M3 Real does not autoboot homebrew [hangs on loading; M3 thinks that it's a rom].

I wish I can figure out something for M3 real users, but I do not know how.

Can someone please make .rar and upload it? It doesn't seem to be working...
Every time I try to boot a game, it says
not found /ysmenu/ysmenu.nds

look at all the filenames and make sure they match, you may of made a small error like an extra letter or space. I'm not trying to be condescending, even the best of us make mistakes. If the problem continues redownload the loader and try again.
