I'm new here so please don't rip my arms off.
So, I recently got a Wii U, and.. kinda go CFW installed.
By that, I mean installing Mocha, then hating moving onto FW.img, then onto another fw.img file which is called iosuhax.
I'm pleased with it, as it lets me do most of the stuff I need to do.
But it's tedious loading into it all the time.
So I'd like to know how to coldboot the Wii U into loading into the fw.img located on the HBL.
All I can find are Haxchi tutorials and stuff.
I don't want to install any of the other stuff for.. reasons.
So I'd greatly appreciate any help.
Well, all of the coldboot stuff uses system.xml modifications.
Only CBHC does it for you automatically, so it's far more safe than doing it manually.
As for which CFW to use and such, I wouldn't recommend fw.img, it's not needed anymore at this point and it only adds complexity to the hack that can cause more issues.
Haxchi CFW is the easiest to set up, you do need a legit DS game though, but you need that to coldboot anyway.
After getting Haxchi CFW to work from a cold boot, overwriting it with CBHC should be safe.
But to be sure, never install any type of Haxchi to a non-legit DS game, it has to be a legit game you own, and it has to be on NAND, that's why most guides tell you to disconnect the USB before installing Haxchi.
The guide I usually recommend is this one:

If you are worried about bricks I suggest sticking to regular Haxchi and not using CBHC. It only takes a couple of seconds to load Haxchi from the quick boot menu anyway. And that way there is literally no way to brick unless you install system titles with WUPInstaller or you mess with Sys Config Tool.
I only use regular Haxchi myself, I don't mind taking the extra 2 seconds to boot it from the quick start menu just for some peace of mind.
Anyway, if you need more help, you already have my Skype
