Im looking for a 9.2 firmware...
Again, iso site.
Search for firmwares 9.0 and up for old and New3DS, that's all I can say.

A 2DS is an O3DS
Incorrect. Flashing o3ds firmware on a 2DS will cause a soft brick, as the O3DS setup requires you to turn the wireless switch on at least once. Obviously that is not possible on the 2DS, so you're never able to get past that screen.
You need 2DS firmware for the 2DS.

EDIT: o3DS firmware above 6.0 autodetects what system it's running on and implements the 2DS versions of system titles accordingly. Thanks to @ihaveamac for the correction.

technically 2DS == Old 3DS in hardware. it has the exact same technical specifications as an Old 3DS, minus 3D.

Definitely, but we're talking about flashing o3DS firmware on a 2DS here. That's not going to fly.

In that case does anyone know where to get 9.2 2ds firmware, cause the thread on that site only has o3ds and n3ds

Since always. You must've missed the threads about people soft bricking their 2DS by flashing o3DS firmware into them. Hardware-wise they're pretty much the same, but the software varies slightly.
Huh....

I've been wrong my entire life.

Can you answer my question above? you seem pretty knowledgeable on this shizz.

You got me there. There *might* be a way to modify the o3Ds files to get past the quick setup process, but don't quote me on that. I've never fiddled with a 2DS before. Sorry.

You guys do know that I installed a 9.2 O3DS update CIA pack onto a 2DS right?

And it worked. The system must've picked up that it was a 2DS.

2DS came with 6.0.0-12 originally so an MSET of 6.x or higher won't brick a 2DS if you format it

well obviously, but that only really applies with system settings version doesn't it?

As far as i know, as long as it's 6.0.0+, it should work on a 2DS as those are the versions it started on, and I'm pretty sure there was a check if it was a 2DS as well... IIRC of course.

It's really not that big an issue - the firmware itself *should* work out of the box, it's the pesky setup screen that won't let you get to the home menu due to the absence of a wireless switch.

You mean this one?

I have a zip file of 9.2U cias, is that right or is it supposed to be a unified CIA?
It's one .cia per system title, so yes. You're supposed to have a buncha .cias in there.

Ahh, that might be it. Yeah, I'm definitely out of the loop when it comes to 2DS stuff.
