I bricked my wii 4 times with this. I'm on 3.2e. It seems if I have preloader installed it always bricks, if not it doesn't. If I install preloader after installing this it bricks too. Just used anyregionchanger to get back.

This is so stupid. SoftCorp does exactly what this does and more. And SoftCorp has been out for a while already, guess people are too stupid to figure it out. And stop using the cIOSCORP name, it's not yours.

Unless you dont have internet then SoftCorp is a bit stupid then isnt it.......

Does this have a wad install option? Otherwise your point isn't valid. And because something is missing a feature doesn't make it stupid. Unlike you. Missing many features _and_ possessing stupidity.

Well if countless people have gotten it to work, what are you then?

QUOTE(ZackyKun @ Aug 1 2009, 05:09 PM)
I'm on 4.0
I installed this the way I'd been told and now I get system files corrupted message.
I'm not a noob so I have no idea what the problem is :S
Is this common?
I'm restoring my NAND now.

Can't say I didn't tell you guys...

For all those who say softcorp doesn't work, you do know that the same guy whoo wrote the cios's you're using wrote it right?
What do you trust more? The person who made it all or some dude piggybacking on someone else's name.

@da_letter_a - I have downloaded your package and I had a quick question. After looking at the wads that came with the package, I noticed that the version numbers for IOS 9 - 22 and 30 are all v2834, which is the most current version for IOS 33. Does this mean that you simply added the DIP module to IOS 33 and then changed the IOS number (e.g. changing the IOS from 33 to 9)? If so, why did you do this instead of just adding the DIP module to each IOS?

As you likely know, IOS 30 is the IOS used by system menu 3.2. If you have effectively swapped IOS 33 with IOS 30, this might cause problems for people that are still using 3.2. Were any of your testers using Sys Menu 3.2 or were they all 4.0/4.1?

Thanks

Change your Preloader setting for the System Menu IOS to either 60 or 36, it'll work fine then. da_letter_a said in the original post that these are the two IOSs with ES_Identify patched into them. The reason you're getting System Files Corrupt is because preloader is trying to use an IOS that doesn't have ES_Identify patched into it.

FYI - for those of you who are wondering why some people have issues with cIOScorp, read this thread. The posts by wiiblaster and bushing are particularly relevant.

I no longer use cIOScorp after reading this and other related threads, but ultimately the decision to use anything is up to you.

I'm currently building up an experimental nand with all the things that I've never installed because they've had a good brick possibility on.

It's going well

Welcome to the world of CIOSCORP!

I realize there are many new to it, but it was and always will be a workaround mod. Not to say that it isn't highley effective. With every mod, hack, custom etc. there are risks and problems associated with it. I do like the fact that someone(thanks xfcrowman) searched and read up the mechanics of CIOSCORP and highly encourage anyone not familar with it to do so.

Just in case a few might have missed it, The hackmii installer issue is fixed rather easily by installing IOS36-64-v1042.wad, then using hackmii(like to install Bootmii), and finally re-installing the CIOSCORP verison of IOS 36.

I strongly recomend backing up your IOS, or full NAND before installing CIOSCORP because then you have an easy out.

Ultimately the choice to use CIOSCORP in any form is soley at the choice of the user. So posts that consist of "IT SUCKS" are really not helping anyone.

FYI all of you, I installed BootMii even with CIOScorp fully installed, I never changed my IOS36 back to official state, so no idea what the issue was with CIOScorp and BootMii........the first CIOScorp was created by WiiBlaster......however..... WiiPower (creator of the Multi_cIOS installer) told us that the nly thing the cIOS installer (of those days) does is to change the 00000001.app in the IOS36 (wich apparently is the main.dol)......however......the lower IOSes wasn't the same as to just change their 00000001.app with the one from the cIOS_r7 (the one that was around on those days), so I took the Multi_cIOS installer source and just changed the part where it says: INSTALL AS, so it could install as low as IOS4, don't remember how WiiBlaster decided to go for IOS33 with DIP7, but the lower IOSes in CIOScorp is just the IOS33 patched with the DIP7 and placed in lower IOS slots, we all tought this was the end of the row for that Wii, but to our surprise.......nothing bad happened and we all went crazy about it, but the thing is that it was created for FW3.2, now we are at 4.1 and I think (or want to believe) the SysMenu works different, and maybe that is why CIOScorp v3.1 is giving some error 001 and 002, but it worth the try now that BootMii is out and can just restore our NAND.......still this is like changing your gasoline with alcohol and hope your car works...!!

cIOSCORP IS ONLY a WAD install so no having to rely on internet connections or anything.. And if softcorp is missing an offline installer then it is useless to people without a connection and therefore a STOOOOOPID idea for them to try and use it. Does this NOT make sense to you....... Are you not understanding the words I am typing...

I have modded 5 Wii's and only 1 of them has internet connection so what use is softcorp to them???? What do I do sit and look at the installer telling me there is no internet connection and give up.... NO I use cIOSCORP installer and do not need the internet..

WOOHOO

And why not enlighten us "Stupid" cIOSCORP users and tell us the "Missing features" you are talking about

yeah right but what about us advanced users who find bad things with it and same issues with same working/non
working games with a chance to brick in the process for people who havent backup their nand and such and become
stuck with it unless they update thru the big N to get rid of it.... Then try to get hombrew back on the wii all over again...

I'm not really trying to diss the guy but the project is sloppy horrible instructions and broke the rules on here basically

Yeah this new one doesn't do this anymore. It uses the newest IOSs and doesn't change the version number.

lu64 V4.1U, tbr (wiipower) + custom rev14(waninkoko)+ cioscorp3.1 (da_letter_a) = full hack wii, i tested and work is perfect!!!
You, my friend, ahev just confirmed that this cIOSCORP v3.1 works on LU64+ consoles! Thankyou! That was the main reason I made it. I wanted to make an LU64+ cIOSCORP.

Oh, and I've updated the first post regarding preloader settings. If you get a "System Files Are Corrupted" message, just hold down reset and make sure your "System Menu IOS" setting is set to IOS60.

Oh, and could someone please test out Ghostbusters and the new Indiana Jones games through the latest version of Gecko? This might remove the errors they are having, or...

If you have preloader:
Could you copy the "IOS Reload (to 249)" hack (for your systemmenu) in your hacks.ini, and change the F9 to 24, and paste it at the bottom of your hacks.ini as "IOS Reload (to 36)", enable it, and run these 2 games with "IOS Reload (to 36)", as IOS36 uses rev13b's DIP, which DOES have #002 error removal, and tell me if it works? (My testers reported ghostbusters working with rev13b's DIP, but I don't have ghostbusters to test it)

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

My Wii Speak channel is NOT working X( I keep getting a black screen. I went back to corp 2 b/c corp 3.1 wasnt working the way I wanted and now my Wii Speak channel is Fracked!!! any way I can fix this?
