So if I want to try to DIP-patch my own IOSes I would take the first .app-file from your IOS60 and put it into IOS9 and install it (just extracting the WAD, replacing the app file and compiling it). If it worked Zelda should run, if it didn't work no other game should be affected, right? (Zelda is easy to test as it has only this one IOS on it's disc).

NOOOOOoooooo!!!!

IOS9 has only 1 .app file. You don't want to replace the entire IOS9 with only the kernel from a DIP'ed IOS60.

CIOSCorp replaced the entire IOS9 with a copy of another DIP'ed IOS (the whole IOS).

Well - crediar is working on preloader for system menu 4.0 - he was it working himself at the moment so hopefully you will all have a method to block updates again soon.

I recognized this when I extracted it

His priority should be updating Starfall to 4.0, or at least releasing the source.

Preloader offers as much protection as a dismantled GC controller and a copy of TP.
Implementing hacks from Starfall was an afterthought.

What does Preloader offer that Starfall doesn't?
A moveable disc channel, a bunch of other half-functional hacks, and an uninstallable renamed system menu.
Yes, it can't even be fully uninstalled, which no one seems to know about.

Thanks alot WiiBlaster for this.
Just installing it now

EDIT:
Why does every Wii game need an update?
Even when v4.0 is higher than the game needs?

I installed Mios again and that works great with this.
Thanks again!

Because the older IOSes (9-55) in the cioscorp package are old versions with cios dip patch. Most games have newer IOSes on their Disc and the Wii regognizes this and wants to install them.

I told you, from the very start about this, games need to be brick blocked
did you install all the other CIOSCORP wads, just wanting to make sure people understand they need all the CIOSCORP wads and the New COIS60
but yea games need to be brick blocked

Yeh I read it at the start, but I was just wondering why this was.
I understand now. Thanks.

I don't think that's the case. The original CIOSCorp had the same issue, but most people just blocked updates with Preloader or Starfall. And this certainly would not explain why very old games also ask for an update.

It was speculated at the time that it had something to do with IOS4 not being patched, and that IOS4 was possibly used for system updates (check out the titles below):

Title=10000-00555044 (savedata for '.UPD') FW: IOS4
Title=10000-00555045 (savedata for '.UPE') vers: 0.6 (6) FW: IOS4

Again...speculation

But it is the case, tell me why Zelda wanted an Update with cioscorp installed (Zelda only has IOS9 on the disc) and after I installed IOS9 from this disc with Wadinstaller it didn't want to update.

By the way, thanks for this update to CIOSCorp.

Could someone PM the download link please.
