Hacking CIOSCORP on 4.0

in the instructions, if you read them i said 3.4 but meant 4.0 just to kill the confusion i've reuploaded it

I alreda read about this process but also read that it doesn't work with some IOSes so I left it

About the Updates, can't you insert the DIP module into the latest versions of the IOSes?
I Trucha-patched all IOSes which were on the Mario Kart DVD and now it doesn't ask for Updates anymore, can't the same be done with the DIP modules?

I dunno probably could haven't tried myself, I hoping someone just releases a block updates of some kind, if not i may try something like that out, but so far every time i DIP patch a IOS it makes the game want to update therefore removing the patched IOS

basic ly you need to already be at 4.0 for this to work with a cios preinstaled for it to work then u can just toss this addon in with the corp files in softmii or miwii

correct but just use the CIOSCORP wads the rest of there package wont work,

better instructions

Go steal the CIOSCORP wads from the miiwii thread or from softmii,

need to be on 4.0 with CIOS rev8 installed, also Rev7 is fine

second install the CIOSCORP wads that you took from Miiwii or Softmii with Wad Manager 1.3 loaded off of a CIOS
than install the new CIOS60BF

right now Backups brick blocked do work, backups not bricked block will or may ask to update, Originals may ask to update GC Backups work from the Disc Channel if you have install the correct GC Backup Loader MIOS to allow this

Right now, pretty useless if you ask me, Until someone releases a Program to block updates

If it worked Zelda should run, if it didn't work no other game should be affected, right? (Zelda is easy to test as it has only this one IOS on it's disc).

Sure rip out the app1 from a CIOS like rev8 and then unpack a IOS and inject the app1 you ripped out of the CIOS and repack the IOS with the new App1, thats its you now have a CIOS dip patched, Zelda uses IOS9, which is not a good test, Cause IOS9 uses a different format, this method doesn't work, on Lower IOS's, i think IOS22 or lower something like that i can't really remember
