will this be able to run iso now? obviously software needed but are the glitches now fixed?

Ok..you know what? Go away, realy...This is the stupiest post I've ever seen...now I'm realy pissed...Noobs that only want to pirate things, not more..

.

For the last time for all the Noobs: This is only a cIOS. Not more, not less. It enables USB 2.0. The Rest must do the Apps. It's like you have a cIOS from Waninkoko, but no Gamma/Menupatcher, etc...now go away if you're looking for an ISO-Loader...create a whole new Discussion-Topic around this, if you want, but go away with such comments like this...

Sorry, but I'm realy pissed off...

eeeeeeeeeew handbags, you hackers make me laugh banging on about piracy i suppose the AVI DIVX you have is ripped from your pre released DVD that you traveled in time to get then came back with the orginal and ripped it for 2 hours all for the sake to watch on your wii when a DVD player costs less then $30 coming with 5.1 Dolby but wait i'll rip it to get less quality and worse sound talk about an oxymoron we are all after the same a multi format console that plays anything....great work but no need to be abnoctious the question previously asked was for other viewers as this title will attract alot of people with coding knowledge....nice to see mods moderating the bad launguage used here.

I know it was me that started the whole "Loader-Thing", and that I shouldn't discuss that in a Topic. This should go over the Personal-way, and so I've sent wiiv1.5owners3 a PM, so we can discuss/fight over this way. I'm realy sorry for going so much Off-Topic, excuse me for that. I haven't thought clearly, and overreacted a bit. With this post, this "Loader-Piracy-Discussion" with him is finished, and we're (hopefully) back at the Topic.

@Topic: Anyone who has issues with that...are they now gone? never had problems, and new one also work fawlessly until now...

hmmm... i was just thinkin... im pretty sure that thiis would let us also use an attachment that allows more than 2 usb's. and through that device u could possibly plug-in just about any usb device? forgive me if i'm wrong, it is past midnight

Currently USB hubs are unsupported. I'm no expert so I don't know if it's possible but the wiibrew page states specifically that a command isn't available that would be needed for such devices to work.

So is this the basic understanding:

This only installs as a CIOS, meaning official games that use the USB ports will be unaffected?

Yes, that's true, as far as I got it. Since the Apps must be compiled to use that cIOS (It's 202), it won't work for Keyboards in the Games, WiiSpeak, etc... . It's currently a cIOS, not a Diver-Replacement (which could be done with BootMii, I think...). The beta2 is great, but this will take some time to envolve, but when it's done, it will be amazing

Brilliant, I will stick this on my Wii tonight.

Quick question, I have quite a few Xvid movies on my 400gb USB2.0 drive which I currently watch through my 360. Has anyone tested if this hack will allow films like that to run smoothly through Mplayer on the Wii? What's Mplayer's compatibility like with Xvid? I know Mplayer CE is coming out with USB2 support but I believe there is already a hacked version of Mplayer which supports this hack? Has anyone tried it?

I tried using the usb2 cIOS with a program I wrote myself, I won't say what it's primary purpose is but it involves writing large (10MB+) files from the wii to a usb stick. Unfortunately while it appeared to work and the time spent writing the files out was greatly reduced, every single file was corrupted beyond repair due to random garbage being inserted.

Hopefully DVD Backup tool will benefit this tremendously. Backing up my discs is very painful as it is. Also look forward to picking up a larger USB stick to throw the kids movies on. Discs in my house take a beating.

Not possible cause to back up a game it is limited to 3x speed even if it is an original

why is it limited to 3x? it's reading an original game... it's not using the DVD library's to access the drive...

I'm not talking about backing up backups but backing up originals. Why is the backup tool only able to read original discs at 3x? I thought the speed was due to the wifi/usb limitation.
