Hopefully DVD Backup tool will benefit this tremendously. Backing up my discs is very painful as it is. Also look forward to picking up a larger USB stick to throw the kids movies on. Discs in my house take a beating.

Not possible cause to back up a game it is limited to 3x speed even if it is an original

why is it limited to 3x? it's reading an original game... it's not using the DVD library's to access the drive...

I'm not talking about backing up backups but backing up originals. Why is the backup tool only able to read original discs at 3x? I thought the speed was due to the wifi/usb limitation.

The drive can only go half the speed (3x) when accessed by homebrew. There are NO exceptions. So originals are also being read at 3x. Because they are getting dumped (which is, by a homebrew app ofcourse). I can't explain everything atm. but here's a short guide:
As long as backups are being read @ 3x, disc dumping will be 3x.

Freaking awesome, USB loader anyone

Arm, can you give anymore info on this? If Wanin had this going it seems as though he would've have to have had usb 2.0 speed which only seems to have been possible lately given the recent developments with cios usb2.

Maybe it's not that long to code a loader to run from USB or maybe he's quick at doing it

Any way to install it over the USB-Lan Adapter?
The installer says, no network found ?!?

Maybe there's some kind of offline-installer out?

Waninkoko's CIOS installers always worked very well.

Yeah has anyone managed to get this to install with a USB lan adapter?

No, no Chance. Adapter get's always unmounted, so the App can't find it...W-Lan works. But there's a Offline-Install Option, you know? Try the Offline-Method...Maybe they will fix the adapter in the next version...but don't look like that right now...b.

Yeah I tried that, the installer gets a little further than normal but still tries to connect to the internet to download 15 files. So i'm not sure what's happening there.

Also tried that - not working! I think some more files are missing ..?!?

So the Wiibrew page for this was deleted due to its author having collaborated with Waninkoko on the USB backup loader. Does anyone have a download to this?

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it.
