Hacking cIOS rev18 comming in about a week

Are you talking about USB or disc loading? Cuz patching a disc to use IOS249 generally solves the issue if you're using DVD-R's, doesn't it?

patching to IOS249 and NO cioscorp works for disc backup @ MP Trilogy (i.e. menu works) .. alternatively I heard you can have cioscorp and NOT patch - also works for disc, haven't tested, I don't like cioscorp much


for USB though only alt-dol works




is there a list of 002 games ? or is it irrelevant with the latest neogamma, which I assume has auto-fix for 002 ?

Almost all newer games are 002 games. If you patch a game to use IOS249, it breaks the way 002 error is fixed, well if the game does an IOS Reload. If you have patch a not IOS Reloading game to use IOS249, and start it from a loader, it will work.

Only method i know to play a 002 game that is also an IOS Reloading game is to NOT patch the game, and have the IOS the game requests installed as cIOS. Well, you could patch the apploader along with the tmd(that's what the IOS Version patcher patches) to make the game really use IOS249, but that's not that easy.

I know for sure that MPT is a 002 game. Either you patched it or you are a using a cIOS with faulty 002 patch(13a for example). This may work for this game, but games with newer 002 error can't be played with this. And the old and faulty 002 main.dol patch causes a lot of trouble in of these games, that's why i didn't mention this solution.

I can't agree more! It doesn't matter if it takes a while but the main thing is that he gets it working. I would also be eternally grateful to get my mitts on this when its completed.

HBC issue is not a cIOS problem. Trying to run any homebrew (even homebrew that doesn't use cIOS to run) freezes the console. (@, ☆, #)

Because another dude asked him why he coudlnt boot a usb loader from sneek.
An interesting question...dont know if someone asked. Has anyone tried to boot a game from a channel created through crap in Sys Menu?

In other words, there's no problem with the cIOS and the HBC, he's just having trouble getting SNEEK to behave on his setup. IMO he should try a forwarder channel of some kind.
