Hacking cIOS rev14 installer = RET -1

I'm trying to install cIOS 38 r14 on my Wii
it has cIOS 38 r8 already

if I run the Waninkoko installer, whether I select SD or internet I get an error (Ret -1)
if I install it via WAD Manager 1.4, it acts like nothing happened

what's the deal?

Sounds like your SD card is not big enough. You need at least a 512 stick, brah.

try network install instead of wad install as you don't have the required wad file on the root of your sd card (IOS38-64-v3610.wad)

and I DO have IOS38-64-v3610.wad on my root

i tried at least 3 sources
all act the same

could there be an inteference between ios36 and ios38? I've also tried another SD card if that helps.

I fixed it

there was a space between the filename and .wad
