Hacking cIOS checker

Is there any Wii app that checks your cIOS to see if they are the most up-to-date?

Or is there a place on the web or this forum that has this info easily avail?

Also, what are the different cIOS for? Yes, Im pretty new to this. Thanks!

If you don't know what's up with your cIOS, just install the latest over it. There's no harm done.

The different releases may be different versions of the same one (waninkoko's) or might install into a different slot (cIOScorp).

Which cios versions do I need to worry about. Isnt there 38 and 36? But they both install as 249? What do I need to keep up to date? I am using HBC to run mostly backups, but also some EMUs. Im also working on getting some N64 VC games....

The information I find is scattered and usually different from place to place, I just need some clarification. Also, what are the newest cioses? thanks!
