Hello rajkosto, I successfully followed this guide and went from 1.0.0 to the latest 5.1.0. At the end it said, "You must use the PreventGCUpdate launch configuration Every boot if you want to prevent GC controller update" then I rebooted it and now its at a black screen so I assume its in rcm mode. How do I use that config? I was using your hekate_fspatches_v3.bin in tegra. Also I received my SX Pro dongle and have yet to use it and I want to install SX along with booting it with the PreventGCUpdate config but I have no idea how to. Sorry, Im a noob and any help is greatly appreciated.yes RajNX sets everything up perfectly if you just use the [CFW] option (take care to after that always use a PreventGCUpdate menu option if you want the gc chipset to stay on < 4.0.0 firmware)
There wouldn't be any issue if hekate_ipl.ini is not there or none of the hekate stuff? I saw something about ChoiDuJourNX using this file in some of the posts in thth thread and I just want to be careful. My plan is to install RajNX first on 3.0.2 then use ChoiDuJourNX to step up to 5.0.1. I also plan to copy the PreventGCUpdate to the first cfw option as well to prevent me fr accidently selecting the wrong one.yes RajNX sets everything up perfectly if you just use the [CFW] option (take care to after that always use a PreventGCUpdate menu option if you want the gc chipset to stay on < 4.0.0 firmware)
I booted witouth microsd inserted for mistake, so my gamecart firmware is updated now? how can i check? the fuses are ok (only 2 burned luckily)
Hi, I´m going to use ChoiDujourNX to update from 2.3.0 to 5.1.0 with the "Contents" folder of a friend and without burning fuses, I finished a NAND backup on 2.3.0 right now using RajNX and the next step is update using this homebrew, but, I have some questions:
1 -> To do the system update I need to enter on the "RajNX CFW - PreventGCUpdate" option or another one?
2 -> My intention is use only my original games after the update so... I need to use only the "Stock - PreventGCUpdate" option of RajNX, right?
3 -> ChoiDujourNX installs autorcm, if I use the "Stock - PreventGCUpdate" option (I´m supposing that this is the option that I need to use), can I put my console in standby mode without drain the battery? (I think the only way to drain the battery is not sending a payload when the console is on rcm mode but just in case)
4 -> If I want to use some homebrew I need to enter on CFW with PreventGCUpdate (I suppose), so I need to enter on airplane mode or it´s safe use it with an Internet connection?
5 -> I can´t use micro SD cards on exFAT without the update, using this to update to 5.1.0 will install that update too or I need to install it after that? (In case that I need to install the update after installing the 5.1.0 version, can I install it through the Nintendo´s notification?, if yes, I need to enter in some specific option or can I use the "Stock - PreventGCUpdate" option?)
Thanks in advance and sorry for my noob questions
I just pulled that info from the OP and I just flashed 1.0.0 with the exFAT option enabled, now soft bricked, currently restoring nand.Huh ? exFAT for 1.0.0 does not exist.
It does for any firmware 2.0.0 and up.
Yes i mentioned that 1.0.0 exFAT doesn't exist, and thus bricks. Normal one works but obviously you have to system initialize to downgrade that far back.
I don't recommend using cartridge 1.0.0 anyway because its a different firmware than shipped 1.0.0, and one that no console has ever had installed before i made ChoiDujourNX.
The shipped 1.0.0 is a better choice (and doesnt even pretend to have exFAT), you can get it from the place that has all the firmwares.
Why do you want to run 1.0.0 ? It can only play a few cartridge games, OS is incomplete for anything else
