As someone unable to solder, I'm greatly interested in finding a vendor that can solder a chip to a wii-clip for purchase. I have an old D2B, so even a WiiKey would work. However, the only shop I found that does this is FoundMy, which I'm not going to chance an order from.

Does anyone know any other shops?

If you have a D2B i would suggest you get a
Free-Clip

No soldering is needed, and it works awesome, since its open source most likely the firmware updates will never end, All you need is a serial port on your PC:

If you dont have one, I recommend getting a cheap modchip (solderless) that works will all dvd drives:

Thanks for the suggestions. This is going to be just a temporary mod, so I don't want to make provisions for a serial cable

I ended up placing an order with modchipcentral. WiiKey w/ clip and screwdriver, soldered for $55 shipped - not a bad deal.
