Hi...

I like cheats... I like the original R4DS kernel
So... how can I make all cheats appear at my games?
I tried the _DS_MENU.dat patch but it didn't seem to work...
I used YSMenu for a while, worked, but pretty much all key combinations for usage with cheats don't work... (like New Super Mario Bros: press L or R to cycle through items)
My question:
Is it possible to get the cheatfile working (without editing it) on the R4DS kernel (with some kind of patch?) or am I doomed?

PS: I tried the latest version of YSMenu... and I have these problems with kernel 1.18; I do have original R4DS card (black)

Would have thought an owner of the original R4DS would be well and truly accustomed to all of the pitfalls of the R4 branded carts, but there ya go....

This issue with cheats will never, ever, ever change for R4s - simple. People can keep bangin' on the door and it may crash open....but there will be nothin' behind it!

Or, I also heard that if you use flash memory, it can act as more "RAM" at least windows tell me when I stick a flash drive into it.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It can act as a swap drive but that isn't more RAM, it's slooow.
