Where's the fun in making sure that you win with cheats online?

What the hell does it accomplish. All it says is that you have no skills and need something to hold your hand while you play.

And with the new advance wars trainer I forsee a lot of cheating...

My philosophy for Pokemon wi-fi is that no cheats should be aloud for online battling, with the exception of rare candy cheats to get your pokemon to the agreed level you will battle at. For Global trading, Rare candy cheats are also acceptable since everyone asks for ridiculous stuff. However, offering Pokemon that have been rare candied is not allowed. I also say that hacking Pokemon is a-okay due to the ridiculous crap you have to go through to get them normally, such as buying every other GBA game to get them. Though for online trading, it is not acceptable to simply see a guy you want, log off wi-fi and hack the guy you need for the trade. (though I can't hack pokemon in D/P anyways.) Cheating is okay in some circumstances, but most of the time, it's not good. Pokemon is the only one that really has acceptable times to cheat.

i believe that hacking pokemon is ok as long as you don't do anything that is outside the bounds of your game. i think that if you are seriously competitive about pokemon(which i am) and you need specific EV spreads and good enough IVs (and even the right hidden power type) it is just a waste of many hours of your life to painstakingly train up the ideal pokemon for competitive battling. (also why i used to use shoddybattle when i didn't have a cheating device/flash cart)

I've came across cheaters in Tetris DS yesterday...boy do they piss me off.

But I won 3 out of 4 games, anyways, so it's all good

(If you're going to cheat, atleast be good at it!)

well mabye nintendo is starting to crack down on it because my friend got banned from pokemon wi fi for cheating and he has to start a new game to go back online

Either you / your friend is misinformed. That's not how the bans work, and only one confirmed person has ever been banned from NWFC.
