how do you do this in-game? cuz i see that option in the 1.11 kernel

Uh, with the update, it allows any game with cheat hex to use cheats, so an option should come up depending if you have the update that supports it, and a game that has cheat hex on the cheat.dat

After selecting the ability to activate/deactivate cheats via the R4 Cheat Menu, you can switch cheats on with the combo L+R+Up+Start and L+R+Down+Start to deactivate them.
