I tried following the formatting guide, I tried to install the CFW starter package and I tried to put someone else's 3ds files into the sd card and none of it worked also unfortunately I don't have a backup of the sd cardplease describe what you have done and what happens with the console when you try.
When did you install CFW? If it was a long time ago you may need to update your softmod.please i tried every solution i could find i need help
If you're on B9S it's probably enough following this: https://3ds.guide/finalizing-setup
If you're still on A9LH, update your softmod by following this: https://3ds.hacks.guide/a9lh-to-b9s
If your softmod is old you may not have either of them in which case you should follow this and hack the 3DS from scratch again: https://3ds.hacks.guide/get-started
There is a way to check, the latest version of Luma supported by A9LH is 7.0.5 so if you download 7.0.5 and put the arm9loaderhax.bin on your SD and it works, then you have A9LH. https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/releasesB9S i think
-snip-
Good tip. 1.2 or 1.3 shouldn't matter too much, as long as he has 1.2+ the latest Luma should work just fine. But on 1.0/1.1 only Luma3DS 7.1 works.theres also a way to check what version of B9S you have by booting into godmode9 and checking the sha256 of the currently installed version. (thats if you even have it installed, if you have al9h, then obviously this info is moot)
or zoogie made a gm9 script to check it. ( i cant remember where it was posted...)
boot into godmode9 (hold start on boot)
Sysnand virtual -> firm0.bin -> FIRM image options -> Mount image to drive -> header.bin -> calculate sha256
The boot9strap versions will have header sha256's based on this chart:
1.0: 5C3B0CD4FE0C4987AF764B9FEFAD8B8ED39929E6EA9A8F6D782C24 09BB16930A
1.1: 893A8A5B9B87FD1869AAA0BAE9BCAA3C9102DFEC1FFACB2561321F 53B6091884
1.2: 9DDE2F7258FD1EE88EDE335ED781053F8925269D8720FE87BE4E2B D35B5990D3
1.3: 7C2E1DC860858BF9C7285915957FE64AF3B1B812C57FCB2C417881 D31EE4246C
Please note that you don't have to compare the entire number to this. The first 3-4 chars is probably enough.
@MrToxidoCat, did you use this CFW starter kit?sorry none of it worked my 3ds still ist booting on
"It's not working" doesn't help us help you, it's a useless piece of information. What steps did you take? Did you follow anything I said?sorry none of it worked my 3ds still ist booting on
Nothing. My 3DS boots blank.
Does it turn on then off (ie does the blue light go on then off a second later)? If so, get a new SD card from a brick and mortar shop (not online) and follow TurdPooCharger's steps again.
