Hacking CFG USB Loader doesnt work

Hi I have softmodded my wii according to the directions here:

But when I get to the last steps of installing Neogamma or Configurable USB Loader, it doesnt work. Neogamma just gives me a black screen whilst with Configurable USB Loader it comes up with the logo screen and just hangs there.

I would love some guidance!!
