Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Screens and Trailer

I was never a Castlevania fan...till now. And since its being co-developed by Kojima, its bound to be good.

Konami officially announced Lords of Shadow is now Castlevania: Lords of Shadow and Metal Gear Solid director Hideo Kojima is assisting its development. Madrid based Mercury Steam is still working on the project. A new console Castlevania game was first mentioned at Tokyo Game Show last year.

While Lords of Shadow bears the Castlevania brand name it doesn’t feel anything like a traditional Castlevania title. Players will explore well lit environments and there isn’t a trace of Dracula.

Looks absolutely fantastic, but it's only for PS3 and 360. Guess I'll have to wait until I get one of them to play it :\.

i dunno - it's a bit too god of war on first impressions (don't get me wrong is great in it's own right) but will this feel like a Castlevania game?

i hope they're able to keep some of the classic Castlevania elements to it i.e. caturing souls for special powers or certain enermies dropping certain weapons

It needs to feel like Castlevania for me to care, that and not be full of cutscenes.

I don't understand comment about needing to feel like Castlevania. I'm taking it people mean they want a metroidvania game, and not the original Castlevania game.

As long as the 3D in this game isn't like previous 3D games it might be interesting.

Saw this on Konami's site. I also don't see the Castlevania theme in this game, but it still looks good nonetheless.

That big orc looks very generic fantasy-ish. Here's hoping the atmosphere stays true to Castlevania.
