Gaming Case modding

Hey,

I'm a big Zelda fan and I googled a bit about limited editions dslites etc. when i suddenly found this:

So i thought, why not make a sort of look alike with a zelda replacement case and my black ds lite?

Now my 2 questions are:
1. Which parts should i get gold which parts black? ( what is looking the best in your opinion(
2. If you have any experience with case modding, which parts break easily? Are they replaceable?
