Hacking Question Can't install nsp game, error: Failed to install the nsp file.(result:0x00014005)

I get this error when I instal nsp game with devmenu.
I can install DLC, but I can't install a new game
Any one can help me?

when I first install just dance 2018 ,it install success,but I can't play it.
after several times uninstall and install I get the error.
Then kirby star allies install error too
more game need to test.

Try replacing your boot & licence file on your sd card overwrite them with a new one I had the same issue, doing this fixed it somehow installing nsp corrupts the files sometimes either the boot or licence file but it worked. Or it might be the Nintendo folder I replaced all three and it fixed the problem.

replace the boot and licence delete Nintendo folder, still get the error.

My issue was fixed by removing spaces from folder names and file names.

copy your files on to your pc, format your card again exfat and put them back on and try that. It certainly worked for me I must admit I did format my card as well.

I have fixed it,change a computer download from the same source.

I compared a working nsp with one that was giving me that same error. Compared in a hex editor and the broken nsp had quite a chunk on the end of the file that was nothing but EF, whereas the working one had actual data. So, it was likely a corrupt nsp. I fixed it by copying over the address range from the working one to the broken one because I was curious. XD

Just re-copy it back onto your sd card an try again. I had a heap of games that wouldnt install with that error. I just deleted them an copied again. An they all installed perfect

Use this instead as it’s working perfectly fine for me where devmenu was always failing at 100%.

For me it was a too long path + filename. Moved out of subfolders to root then it worked.

I have figured out the fix for 7.0.1 Kosmos 11.11.11, use no spaces in the NSP and no more then 9/10 digits and the path file cannot be too long

I tried with Mario Kart 8 and i used MK8 but still get it with Error code 0x299002 and also 0x234a02
