Hacking cant get mplayer to work

hi i have mplayer on my wii i have the channel and i have it in the home brew channel to. mplayer opens but when i press play dvd my wii freezes can anyone plase help me.

no my wii is on menu 4.2e do i still need dvdx and if i do where can i find it.

its included in the hackmii installer. The one you used to install the HBC .

i have reinstalled dvdx and still no luck is there any other media player for the wii? or can this one be fixed.
