hey I have luma3ds 6.6 (and don't plan on updating) does anyone have the luma3ds.cfg or whatever it is .cfg for that version. please help.

If you don't have the luma cfg it will automatically go into the config menu.
Check if you don't have it in your SD and your NAND.

I'm guessing you have A9LH based on your Luma version. Make sure that you hold Select before you hit the power button, and keep holding it until the menu shows up.

I dont have it but I do have a config.bin for luma. is that the one you are talking about.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

and that the thing CrispyYoshi. I can't get to the menu via power + select or the .3dsx.

when I update not once has it worked following the 3dsguide it stops at the could not get get a9lh. and I've always hated the .firms because they have never worked for me.

I have no idea of how else to launch luma but I have heard of going to recovery mode but that did not work it went straight to update software.

When your 3ds boots up, it boots directly into the home menu correct? If you hold down the select button before you press the power button, does the luma config show up?

I'll try

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

nope it just goes to the home menu, but takes like 2 seconds longer

Do me a favor. You need to update a9lh to b9s. A9lh is severely outdated. This part of the guide goes very in depth about the updating process and should be very simple. Tell me if you get stuck anywhere: https://3ds.guide/a9lh-to-b9s.html

Thanks for the info :) and I'm wondering myself could he reinstall luma 6.6? seems to be his end goal to just ix functionality

giodude this is the part that gets me.

And to be 100 percent sure. You have a safeb9sinstaller.bin in your payloads folder inside if your luma folder. Also, you hold down the start button, then turn on the power, but you keep holding it correct?
