Why not buy an American white one?
Yeah but it's a lot easier than dealing with region changing a 3ds.You'll still have to import something. Nintendo never released Japan's pure white cover plate here.

I'm just saying there's a lot of down sides to region changing on new3ds, like no eshop. Can't use NA account for friends, some things just don't work.I can change the region without issue; I just want to make sure the unit I receive is exploitable.
BTW the only 2 white n3ds small consoles in USA are the pokemon red/blue and happy home designer.

Only if you have a copy of that console on a lower firmware first..... pre 11
you don't actually need that to downgrade right nowOnly if you have a copy of that console on a lower firmware first..... pre 11
That bundle is already more expensive than importing and you then have to pay even more for the plates as mentioned.
Amazon.ca has the white import for $232. A bit more than PlayAsia, but it's fulfilled by Amazon so you'll receive it much quicker.

I just imported this console from Play-Asia. Shipping was $15 to the states, and it came in 2 days. The system version was 9.1.0.
