Hacking Can you use format wii system memory on a hacked wii?

Hey i was just wondering if you can do this without messing up the softmod. i just wanna wipeoff some old stuff and history to free up space.

You will lose all your channels (including the HBC) and save data, but the rest will stay.

I don't know if you will be able to copy them back after a format. Just delete the channels/saves you don't need. Clearing the message board won't make a significant difference.

No. You won't be able to copy them back.

If you got them from the shop, you can redownload them after formatting. For channels installed using WADs, you'll need to get the wad again and reinstall it.

You'll need a game exploit (if on 4.3) or bannerbomb (if on 4.2 and older) to get the HBC back, unless you have bootmii as boot2.

Just be sure to have priiloader installed, the format will not remove it. Then you can load the hackmii installer from priiloader without using an exploit.
