Well I've been thinking about getting a DSi.

In order to use these games and apps, would I need to buy flash carts? Or will these work on an SD card?

You would need to buy a flash cart. AFAIK DSi mode hasn't been cracked yet, so no playing roms off an SD card inserted into the DSi's SD slot. The best two out right now seem to be the M3DSreal and the AceKard2i. Deal extreme has both for under 20 bucks with free shipping.

^^ yes it's being worked on

but by the looks of things it will take time...like all great things.

not a lot of progress has been made, but its something at least.

AFAIK means "As far as I know"

DSi mode has been cracked via a save game exploit but you can only run as much homebrew as you can fit into a save file, and only 1 game so not much. Team Twiizers are working on hacking it but are finding it a lot more difficult than the Wii.

Giggle.... AFAIK means "as far as I know". Sorry, internet jargon. I'm sure they are working on it, but since I don't have a DSi I don't really keep up with that particular hacking scene.

JesseB, don't you mean the M3i zero? The M3DSreal can't run on the DSi AFAIK.
