ROM Hack Can you restore emunand with a sysnand backup?

Hey! It was a while since I was on the 3ds scene since my last one broke. I know I could fix my "problem" by making a backup of my current nand and then restore the other one and make an emunand out of that but is it possible to restore emunand directly from a sysnand backup or do I have to change something about it or maybe you can't do this. Any information in this matter is appreciated.:)
