So the sd card socket on my motherboard has been damaged and I need to buy another switch now, can I use the usbc port on the switch instead of an sd card slot to at least copy all the saves into the USB stick using jksv to copy them into the other switch?

Can’t you just inject Hekate and export the Sysnand and then use MXNandManager to grab the saves?

here’s the tut for grabbing the saves once you get the Sysnand exported to your PC.

once you have the saves exported, you can import them using JKSV on your new switch.

Depend of the damage the sd socket is easily fixable, Try to fix it before buy another unit. In the worst case you can extract the saves from the emmc backup as binkinator said.
