I'm gonna use this opportunity to just go ahead and do a PSA,Nocto thats not a very nice thing to say.
Technically in English (to my knowledge) you're supposed to use they/them, with "it" being used to descripe objects and as such some people can become offended if you call them by that (Not all, but I've seen it around).Well, at school, they taught me that its, it and such apply to object and those living we dont know the gender
I hoped that was the right way to say that
It isnt?
One of the main problems I see a lot is when the term is applied to any character or person that is androgynous, as opposed to ones who are following the "bait and switch" tropeI'm gonna use this opportunity to just go ahead and do a PSA,
In an anime context, trap isn't a derogatory term. It's simply a bait and switch trope. They aren't trans, they just look like a girl. 99% of the time it's the dude that goes 'im a dude actually, I just look like a girl' everyone gets shocked, lol anime tropes.
You're free to feel however you want to about this, I just wanted everyone to know the truth and clear up any confusion, so you can have better context.
Thank you.
AFAIK they/them is used for referring to royalty/similar positions and when a person's gender is not known.Technically in English (to my knowledge) you're supposed to use they/them, with it being used to descripe objects and as such some people can become offended if you call them by that (Not all, but I've seen it around).
