"Christian"? So you celebrate it in a secular sort of way with out all the religious stuff (like no church services or what not)?
I celebrate the original Pagan roots. It's basically the same thing, minus the Christianity.

actually the pagan version, is where you would Sacrifice a child, to a god, and then you would eat the child in a feast(usually more then one).
History... fun isn't it.

I think most primitive, ritualistic traditions include an element of child sacrifice. That includes Christianity...

When did Christians Sacrifice children?
I didn't say Christians, I said Christianity. Christianity includes belief in the Bible, which includes several passages referring to murdering of children. For example:

Hosea 9:14
Numbers 5:11-21
Numbers 31:15-18

The very worst one I have found is Hosea 13:16:

The people of Samaria must bear their guilt,
because they have rebelled against their God.
They will fall by the sword;
their little ones will be dashed to the ground,
their pregnant women ripped open.

Another one where God commands the murder of children:

1 Samuel 15:3

Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. But kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.

Psalm 137:8-9 says that God will reward you for killing children by throwing them on rocks:

Daughter Babylon, doomed to destruction,
happy is the one who repays you
according to what you have done to us.
Happy is the one who seizes your infants
and dashes them against the rocks

Nothing makes you doubt a religion more than reading their religious text.
I think many people would turn away from religion if they read their religious texts properly and actually took the time to think about what it means - i.e. what it is that the god of their religion is actually suggesting, or commanding, that they do in their daily lives.

Ahh, New Testament Christianity also endorses child murder:

Matthew 15:4

For God said, 'Honor your father and mother' and 'Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.'

Matthew was certainly a Christian himself (in the sense of being a follower of Christ), so here we have evidence not only of the more ancient texts of Christianity endorsing this behaviour, but also of more modern (Jesus-era) Christians implying that it is god's will.

Whether there is evidence of any Christians actually doing it, I don't know. However, I'd like to know how the legal system would view such an act. I have a feeling that "I killed my child because he cursed me, and that's what God told me I should do about it" wouldn't work too well as a defence in a murder trial.
