Just wondering. It would save me a ton of space when(if) i put videos on my 3ds. Does anyone know anyone willing to do it?
Another is converting it to a CIA formatMore than likely, this would be very unfeasible.
Currently, your only options to play videos are the 3DS Camera application, with restrictions, or converting it to "moflex" format.
If you are on New 3DS, you can also watch .mp4 videos with the browser.
That "cia" format is just a individual wrapper application around a single moflex format video.Another is converting it to a CIA format
Your only other option, in this case, would be to convert them to 10-minute avi files for the 3DS camera application. But i am talking about the O3DS w/out using the JPEG video or the proprietary moflex.
Um...i am tryin' to avoid dat.Your only other option, in this case, would be to convert them to 10-minute avi files for the 3DS camera application.
Well, there's not much else you can do at the moment.Um...i am tryin' to avoid dat.

BTW, isn't moflex a format that can only be created using Nintendo's dev tools?
Exactly.VLC for the 3DS would be kickass. Every video solution for the 3DS right now sucks.
porting VLC to the 3DS would take too long, so creating one from scratch would be the only option. sadly not even the new3DS is capable of decoding most of the modern video formats at full speed (except Theora which can be decoded around 40-56fps on old3DS). and guessing you want to watch your videos normally, this idea goes down the drain
...unless you want to convert the videos on the 3DS into an usable format, wasting space and write cycles on the SDCard, and waiting for the conversion to end when a 268MHz CPU is doing it
*drops keyboard*
Theora?
What makes Theora so special that it can be decoded at around 40-56 fps on O3DS???
