Can the Wii U register 2 seperate HDD?

My HDD connected to my Wii U, with all of my back ups seems like it's on the way out unfortunately.
Can 2 seperate HDD be registered to the Wii U Incase my current one dies? I want to have a back up HDD ready to go to connect to the Wii U, incase my current one dies.

a second hdd is only for copying from the first. you can probably have the same games on both if you use the copy command, but both being plugged in at the same time, it will force you to format or copy games otherwise it restarts iirc.
